Our Commitment

The Irish College of GPs is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users. We are actively working towards achieving Level AA conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. This includes implementing the necessary standards across our website.

We are currently conducting a comprehensive review of our website to identify and address any accessibility gaps. This statement will be updated as we progress with our improvements.

We believe in creating an inclusive digital experience and are dedicated to delivering user-friendly, accessible services for everyone. This commitment also extends to any third-partysystems we procure or upgrade

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the EAA European accessibility act (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 level AA), due to the non-accessible content listed below.

Non-accessible Content

We are continuously working to improve our compliance with WCAG standards.

The following areas are currently under review:

  • Image ALT text: We add alternative text to our images for use by screen readers. Some may still require improvement.
  • Broken ARIA references: Some ARIA attributes reference elements that do not exist, which may lead to accessibility issues for screen reader users.
  • PDFs: Some PDFs may not be accessible and have need for improvement.
