College 40th Anniversay

The College was founded in 1984, establishing an Irish Medical College for General Practice, called The Irish College of General Practitioners. 

2024 marks the 40th Anniversary of the College. Earlier this year, the College was rebranded and is now known as the Irish College of GPs.

Out of the Doctor's Bag

The doctor’s bag is the most recognized symbol of the General Practitioner. This exhibition, curated with the Irish College of General Practitioners Retired GPs Group, explores the development of the bag and its contents over the past two centuries.
