The new GP trainee eportfolio is designed to be the consolidated source of all evidence and information leading CSCST. This trainee led platform will provide a streamlined interface to increase clarity for trainees and schemes on learning progress.
The Cork GP Training Scheme prepares future general practitioners for modern primary care by offering a diverse range of hospital posts and placements. Trainees also have the opportunity to attend specialist clinics on addiction services, homeless healthcare, and prison medicine. The scheme provides a dynamic learning environment, fostering empathy, adaptability, and real-world insight.
Location: St. Mary’s Health Campus, Gurranabraher Rd, Gurranabraher, Cork, TS3 V09X.Days: Years 1 & 2: Wednesday or Thursday afternoon.
Years 3 & 4: Wednesday morning and afternoon.
Cork University Hospital, Cork University Maternity Hospital, Mercy University Hospital, Marymount University Hospital & Hospice, South Infirmary/Victoria University Hospital, St. Stephens Hospital.
Mallow General Hospital, GP Sites (Counties covered): County Cork and environs. (Co. Kerry, Limerick, Waterford)
Located primarily in County Cork, with some in Counties Kerry, Limerick and Waterford.
