Midlands Training Scheme

The Midlands scheme, located in the heart of Ireland, offers a diverse range of hospital posts, housing construction, exposure to Irish culture, and job opportunities after training. The scheme is developing a cultural immersion program to enrich the training experience for GPs in the Midlands. The region's diverse environment allows mentors and trainees to spend time together.

Day Release Information

Location: Unit 8A Burlington Business Park, Srah Ave, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, R35 F7X4

Days: 1st and 2nd Years, Wednesday or Thursday evenings  

3rd & 4th Years full day every Wednesday, broken into 2 sessions over the morning and afternoon, the AM and PM sessions.  

 

Hospital Sites & Locations

The Midlands region of Ireland offers a strong and accessible healthcare presence across its key towns. Mullingar in County Westmeath, Tullamore in Offaly, and Portlaoise in Laois each serve as vital hubs for medical services in their counties. Naas and The Curragh in County Kildare further enhance the region’s healthcare reach, ensuring support across both urban and rural communities. With this thoughtful geographic spread, residents benefit from timely and local access to care. It’s a testament to the Midlands’ commitment to regional wellbeing and balanced development.
