The New Trainers Course occurred on 26 March 2026 in Salthill, welcoming a record 101 new trainers, highlighting the responsibility of GP training. The event, led by Dr Cathy Cullen, featured various key speakers discussing trainee support and preparation for exams. This event aligns with the increased intake of trainees to 350 in July 2024 and precedes a second workshop planned for the upcoming months. Additionally, the National Trainers Conference attracted 302 trainers for a comprehensive two-day program, including art workshops and a keynote on AI, concluding with enthusiasm for future gatherings.
