The Irish College of GPs has published its 2025 Annual Report. The report captures a year of growth across training, membership, education, and organisational development, highlighting key milestones achieved throughout 2025 and setting out the College’s continued focus on strengthening general practice in the years ahead.

We are delighted to announce that Dr Velma Harkins has been installed as President of the Irish College of GPs 2026/2027. At the College AGM last Friday, Dr Harkins was formally announced as the 42nd President of the College.

Today we celebrate the GPs practicing medicine and caring for patients around the world. Thank you for your work in your communities.

As we mark one year in our new head office at 15 Hogan Place, it’s a great time to pause and reflect on everything this space has supported and brought together over the past twelve months.
Since opening our doors, Hogan Place has become a busy and welcoming hub for learning, connection and collaboration. It has supported the College’s work while bringing staff, members, trainees and visitors together in one shared space.
