The purpose of the Irish College of GPs Practice Review Awards is to highlight the high-quality, innovative leadership that GPs demonstrate in their day-to-day practice. The awards harness a sense of pride and appreciation for the enormous work being done at the frontline of general practice and help us demonstrate the value of the work GPs and their teams do every day.We invite GPs to share their stories of the practical, novel practice review initiatives that you have introduced in practices across Ireland. Through the awards, we aim to share our learning experiences and demonstrate how simple measures can improve the care we deliver to patients. Projects should demonstrate a practice review initiative across any aspect of general practice. Some examples are outlined below. We invite you to share your experience with your peers by submitting initiatives using the short entry form below.

Winning projects will receive a generous prize and a doctor's bag trophy to be displayed in the practice. Finalists should be available to attend the Irish College of GPs annual conference in person on Saturday, 25th April 2026. Winners will be featured in Forum, the journal of the Irish College of GPs, and via the College's communications channels.
