The Irish College of GPs is hosting a series of informative sessions this autumn for medical students, interns and anyone interested in learning more about GP training in Ireland. These sessions will provide valuable insights into the GP training programme, the application process and life as a GP trainee.
Intern and Medical Student Day - Saturday, 05 September 2026
This event is designed for medical students and interns who want to learn more about the pathway to specialist training in general practice. Attendees will hear from College representatives and current trainees, gain practical advice on the transition into training, and have the opportunity to ask questions.
The event will take place in person at 15 Hogan Place, Dublin 2, with an online attendance option available for those unable to travel.
Please note that in-person places are limited and early registration is encouraged.
