Pathway planning for migrant children, designed to assist with signposting for migrant children with underlying health problems e.g. neurodisability, that may require paediatric access and input. They also include general practical management considerations for refugees and international protection applicants who are new to Ireland. 

HSE communication aid for refugees

Cork Kerry Social inclusion, working with the Cork Kerry Refugee Resettlement Initiative, has produced videos and a booklet to help refugees learning English - see here.

  • Thirteen animated videos in English and Arabic cover topics, such as making GP appointments, ringing for an ambulance, discussing mental health symptoms and many more.
  • A 40–page My Communication Aid handbook means that the lessons learnt through the videos can be used in real-life situations. The booklet is available in English/Arabic and English/Ukrainian.

GP Visit Card posters

The means testing of the GP visit card means that more people will now qualify for free GP care.

HSE My Medicines List available in 52 languages

The HSE Medication Safety team has worked with translators and people in the community to translate the My Medicines List into 52 languages. If you haven’t used this list before, you can now watch a video showing you how to use a medicines list.
